Can I book my own flight instead of traveling with the Family Group and meet up to join you later?
Yes. Family members may make independent travel arrangements.

Can I ride in the vehicles booked by the family group for local travel if I book my own flight and want to join you later?
Our Transportation plans are ever evolving. Currently, the family group is contemplating flying instead of overnight travel via Sprinter Van as previously noted. If so, we will be booking flights with the airlines and local transportation for the airport transfer to/from hotel, Obama Center, dinner celebration, and return home.
If you are making independent plans, Please plan to pay for your own ride share or the metro for local travel because there may be an issue with the Family group's vehicle capacity and transportation arrangements..
However, If you would like to join the Family group to be counted in the booking of our local transportation and flight tickets information, please keep checking for our Transportation updates by pressing the "Transportation" button Dashboard (Home page) of this Website and

Can I stay at another hotel and meet up with you later?
Yes. Travelers may choose their own accommodations.

Do I need my own Obama Presidential Center ticket?
Yes, unless previously arranged through the planning team to purchase one of the pre-purchased tickets..

If I bring a guest (or bring any of Bessie's great-grands),
may we purchase some of the pre-purchased tickets?
Yes, however, immediate Family members of Bessie Hill (and their children) listed on the "Friends and Guest" page of this Website get first priority, Then,
if there are any tickets remaining, anyone of the Family members listed may purchase a pre-purchased ticket for their guest or grand children. Contact US ASAP BEFORE they are all sold out.
What if I just want to attend the Birthday dinner?
Family members making independent travel arrangements to Chicago, can make plans to meet us at the restaurant Saturday evening in time to make the birthday dinner reservation time (TBD).
Contact Us ASAP to be counted in our restaurant group reservation booking.
